To become a Cost Management Accountant a student have to complete all the three stages of the course the basic qualification to start learning this course is 10 + 2.The Institute of Cost Accountants of India conducts CMA Foundation exam two times in a year in the months of June and December. On passing CMA Foundation exam, the student is eligible for CMA Inter. If you have any graduate degree, you are exempted from ICMAI Foundation exams. You can directly enter into CMA Inter.

10 + 2 or an equivalent qualification is a basic requirement for starting this course
Eligibility criteria for CMA Intermediate
A candidate should have passed Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2)and Foundation Course of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India.
Graduation in any discipline other than Fine Arts.
Foundation (Entry Level) Part I Examination of CAT of the Institute.
Foundation (Entry Level) Part I Examination and Competency Level Part II Examination of CAT of the Institute.
Passed Foundation of ICSI/Intermediate of ICAI by what ever name called along with 10+2
